What are digital championship banners?

Digital championship banners show a school’s conference, district, regional and state titles as banners on a screen, by sport and year, usually in a gym entrance or under the real banners. With HistoryShowcase, the Pennant layout gives every title the same banner, and each one opens to the team photo, roster, coach and story of the season.

There’s no room left in the rafters

Championship banners are the most visible record a school keeps, and the first to run out of space. The gym walls fill, newer titles get squeezed onto one combined banner with a list of years, and sports that compete off campus, like golf, tennis or bowling, may never get a banner at all. Faded banners come down during a renovation and don’t always go back up.

Digital championship banners give every title the same treatment. The Pennant layout shows each championship as a banner on the screen, by sport and year, and every banner opens to the team photo, the roster, the coach and the story of the season. Add a banner the week a team wins, and photograph the faded cloth originals before they come down so they stay part of the record.

  • The team behind each banner

  • The story of the season

The record, the deciding game and the moments players still talk about, written in the biography.

  • Photos of the original banners

Photograph the cloth banners, including faded ones in storage, and add them to each title.

  • Individual champions

Champions in individual events, with their own banner and profile beside the team titles.

How to hang banners on screen

Use the Pennant layout for titles and group them by level, so state titles stand apart. Visitors can filter by sport to find their team.

Championship banner questions

Should we take down our real banners?

No need. Keep the banners you have, and use the screen for titles that never got one, combined banners and the stories behind them. If banners come down during a renovation, photograph them first.

How do we show shared championships?

Add the title as its own banner and note that it was shared in the subtitle or biography. You decide how your school records it.

Can individual state champions have banners too?

Yes. Add them to the state champions collection alongside team titles, or give them their own collection with a Pennant or Portrait gallery layout.

How quickly can we add a new title?

As soon as the team wins. Add the banner, the team photo and the roster, preview it on the touchscreen and publish it when it’s ready.
