A company history wall that keeps up with the company
A printed timeline looks sharp on install day and starts aging the next quarter. Put founders, milestones, products and the people behind them on a lobby touchscreen, and your team can add the next chapter themselves.

What is a company history wall?
A company history wall shows a business’s story in a lobby, hallway or break room: its founding, milestones, products and the people who built it. With HistoryShowcase, each milestone, product or person becomes a story with a year, a summary and photos, shown on your own touchscreen as a timeline employees and guests can tap through, filter by year and search.

The history wall stopped in the year it was printed
Company history walls are usually commissioned for an anniversary or a new headquarters. A designer lays out the timeline, it gets printed and mounted, and it looks great. A few years later it ends at the year it went up, a product on it has been retired, and nobody wants to reprint the whole wall for one more milestone.
A company history wall on a touchscreen tells the same story with room to add. Marketing or HR adds a story when a plant opens or a product launches, and it goes live on the lobby screen. Behind each date there’s space for the photos and the people involved, and new hires can open the same site during onboarding.
How does a company history wall compare with a printed timeline wall graphic?
| What matters | Printed timeline wall graphic | HistoryShowcase |
|---|---|---|
| Adding this year’s milestones | Reprint and reinstall | Add a story and it goes live |
| Depth | A date and one line per event | A summary, write-up and photos behind each date |
| People | The founders, maybe | Profiles for founders, longtime employees and teams |
| Impression from across the lobby | Large, bold and always visible | One screen people walk up to |
| Use beyond the lobby | Only where it’s mounted | A web address for onboarding and the company site |

Locations and moves
The first shop, each new plant or office, and the moves in between.

How to organize a company history wall
Lead with a timeline for the whole story, then give products and people their own collections so guests and new hires can go straight to what interests them.

How do you set up a company history wall?
Pull from what marketing already has
Anniversary decks, old brochures and press photos hold most of the dates. Put the milestones in a spreadsheet and import them.
Match your brand
Set the logo, colors and fonts in the built-in editor so the screen looks like the rest of the lobby. No code needed.
Pair the lobby screen
Pair the touchscreen from the editor with a one-time pairing code or a reusable display code, and save the start address so it reopens after a restart.
Where should a company history wall go?
- Main lobbyGuests waiting for a meeting have a few minutes and a reason to learn about you.
- Break room or cafeteriaEmployees see their own teams and long-serving colleagues.
- OnboardingSend new hires the web address so they know the story before their first day.
Company history wall questions
Isn’t HistoryShowcase a school product?
It started with schools, so setup asks for a school name and colors. A company enters its own name and brand colors instead and gets the same editor, layouts and touchscreen.
Can it match our brand?
Logo, colors, fonts, layouts and motion are all set in the built-in editor, with no code. Preview shows the screen exactly as guests will see it, so you can check before anyone walks past.
Do we need to buy a special screen?
No. HistoryShowcase runs in a web browser and doesn’t sell screens. Use your own touchscreen, open the site full screen or as an installed app, and it saves the site for offline use.
Can several departments contribute?
Yes. Add colleagues by email as editors so marketing, HR and site managers can each add stories, and keep ownership with one or two people.
